Pulse co-evolved with the University of Stellenbosch, the Green Road Hub, the Sustainability Institute and GUS Gallery as an opening and catalyst for a convivial week-long happening that followed. The ritual cooking and sharing of a Deep Soup in the quad of the University’s Department of Visual Arts brought to together farmers, chefs, bakers and researchers to support relationships and narratives about food sovereignty in the Western Cape area.
