Harnessing the transformative power of food rituals to co-create new stories to live by

The collective preparing, cooking and ritual sharing of nurturing seasonal foods that respect provenance and artisan food traditions cultivate and express an ethics of care for all life. Revive is an enlivening of radical conviviality as a practice of living well together in co-existence with animate Earth. This arts and culture collaboration engages in ecological food shared within rituals of thanksgiving as experiences of our entanglement in life-sustaining relationships. Through these transformative encounters, participants come to know the healing potential of food and ritual for embodied story-telling, relationship building and catalysing actions that move us closer to regenerative ways of caring for our naturecultural landscapes.

In July 2022, our first Revive happening takes place at Timberyard as we share life-sustaining food within convivial thanks-giving rituals that honour regenerative forms of soil care. The initiative brings farmers, growers, researchers, educators and producers together to inter-weave new and traditional stories to live by. The next gathering is planned for East Sussex.
