Artful Pedagogy

Inspiring collective knowledge-making with each other and the multiple intelligences of the bodymind in communion with living matter and the spirit of place.

Our artful pedagogy integrates many ways of knowing through the senses, imagination, emotions, the intuition and memory, as well as respecting the ancestral and archetypal experience which touch us all. These expansive thinking-feeling realms are enlivened through deep listening in pairs and small groups and by engaging with a range of artful inquiry methods such as mark-making with art materials, sculptural and found objects assemblages, collage-making and being with the elemental matter of food, soil, fire and water.

We are commissioned by centres of research and education, ecological and cultural organisations who are dedicated to visionary futures and the flourishing of the whole human being. Partners including Agroecology Academy, Alanus University, Ashridge College, Biodynamic Associations of South Africa and the UK, Central St Martin’s University of the Arts London, Coventry University, Crossfields Institute, the University of West of England, Ruskin Mill and Stellenbosch University. In doing so, it honours Dr Chris Seeley’s invitation to integrate the artful and the intellectual, the embodied and the theoretical, the hearty and the heady with equal thoroughness and enthusiasm.
