Food for the Earth

Food for the Earth is our engagement with the processes of composting and the returning of food waste to the soil through artisan practices of fermentation. Projects have taken place in the UK and in South Africa, in the form of skills-sharing happenings, rituals and performative works. The image below emerged from our engagement with a British pub, where as artists in residence we gathered, sorted, weighed and composted the food waste from one day.
