“I arrived at Timberyard thinking I would just hole down and write, finding a sanctuary away from the demands and distractions of normal life. But in fact what I found was a nurturing environment for creativity, body and soul - fed by Miche and Flora’s amazing food, their interest and care towards me and my work, and the beautiful accommodation with nature all around. I was able to do some incredibly important thinking and work around my project, mining into the subject. I advanced the piece of writing I am working on enormously and come away feeling grateful to have spent time with my hosts, finding out about their work too and connecting it to my own endeavours.” Laura Godfrey-Isaacs
