Pilgrimmage to Demarco Archive

As part of our Homage to the centenary of Joseph Beuys we visited Edinburgh carrying 3 oak saplings from Suffolk soil as a gift to Richard Demarco to mark Beuys’ artwork 7000 Oaks. These were planted at Milkhall Cottage, home to the headquarters of the Demarco Archive. During this pilgrimage we were inspired to interview Richard and Terry Ann Newman and created Manifest, a short film documenting the vision of the Demarco Archive and the ethos of Milkhall. Excerpts from the film were shown at the exhibition and symposium Art and Nature hosted by Richard at Dunoon Burgh Hall honouring Joseph Beuys.
